SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – April 27, 2016 – Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, today announced that registration is now open for retailers and their staff to attend the upcoming Fall CycloFest event in October. The new festival format event will be held October 20-23, 2016, at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) outside Charlotte, NC, and will incorporate a blend of Interbike’s OutDoor Demo, tech seminars, retail education, music and competition over the first two days of the event.
The weekend days will be open to the public and will include a cyclocross race on Saturday, skills clinics, bike rodeos, and a half century ride on Sunday morning. Additionally a robust music lineup, presented by PeopleForBikes is in the works for Saturday to coincide with a craft beer offering and more – the details of which should be announced in the coming weeks.
“This event is really starting to take shape and there is a genuine buzz out there amongst all of the stakeholders,” said Pat Hus, Vice President of Interbike. “Brands are very excited about connecting with East Coast retailers and their staffs and the opportunity to interact with a significant consumer audience on the weekend fits nicely onto the overall marketing strategies.”
The U.S. National Whitewater Center is located just 10 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. The USNWC was chosen for several reasons, including its central location on the East coast, access to the largest concentration of bike dealers in the U.S. being in the Southeast, the more than 25 miles of groomed mountain bike trails, the extensive road riding in the surrounding area, and the facility’s other activities such as zip lining, SUP, rock climbing, whitewater rafting and more.
Strong industry participation has already been secured with commitments from 100%, Cannondale, DeVinci, Fox Racing, GT Bicycles, G-Form, Giordana, KHS, Pivot Cycles, Santa Cruz, SRAM, Sugoi and many more. A full list of exhibitors can be found at http://www.cyclofest.com/festival/floor-plan-exhibitor-list/. Tech seminars are planned from all of the major component suppliers along with a robust retailer education track provided by the NBDA, Mann U and others.
